KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers may be on their eastern road trip, but one of their players will be traveling much farther east next month.

Defenceman Joaquin Geras has been selected to compete in the 2025 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, which will be held November 2-to-8 in Truro, Nova Scotia.

The 16-year-old from Calgary has been in the lineup for all eight Blazers games this season, tallying three assists. He got into just one game with the team last season.

Geras is one of 19 Western Hockey League players invited to participate in the event.
