PRINCE GEORGE — British Columbia’s Conservation Officer Service says a pair of hikers who were seriously injured after being attacked by a grizzly bear in northern B.C. are now in stable condition.
It says the attack took place on Sunday in the McGregor Mountain area, northeast of Prince George.
The agency says the bear’s actions were determined to be defensive.
It says it will not take any actions against the bear because of the location and nature of the incident.
