100 Mile House ER to close for 13 hours on first day of Thanksgiving long weekend
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — Residents in the 100 Mile House area will be without emergency coverage for the majority of the first day of the Thanksgiving long weekend.
Interior Health says the ER at the 100 Mile District General Hospital will be closed for 13 hours between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 11).
“All other inpatient services will continue at 100 Mile District General Hospital,” Interior Health said in a statement.
People in need of emergency care are being told to head to Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake during that time. The Williams Lake ER underwent a similar shutdown on Saturday and Sunday of last weekend.
