Traffic stop leads to another drug seizure in Williams Lake
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Another patrol led to another drug seizure in Williams Lake.
RCMP in Williams Lake say officers carried out a traffic stop on Oliver Street on Monday (Oct. 6) at around 11:30 a.m. where the driver, who was known to police, was on condition not to possess weapons.
In a news release issued Wednesday, RCMP say officers searched the driver – based on her behaviour, known conditions and safety reasons – and found a folding knife.
Following a further search of the vehicle, RCMP say they seized 22.3 grams of suspected rock cocaine, 16.1 grams of suspected cocaine, 11.4 grams of methamphetamine, $500 in cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
