Kamloops United stays alive at soccer nationals; Edwards bags three

KAMLOOPS — After an opening-game defeat, Kamloops United found itself in a must-win situation on Thursday (Oct. 9) at the Canada Soccer National Championships Boys U-17 Cup.

There are three teams in each of the round-robin pools. After playing each other once, the top two teams from each of the four pools will advance to the quarter-final round, while the third-place teams enter the consolation bracket.

Kamloops fell 4-2 to Winnipeg South End United on Wednesday (Oct. 8).

CFJC Today was there for the host team’s pivotal contest against Halifax County United on Thursday on McArthur Island.
