Nearly three years into council’s term, is discord plaguing Kamloops’ reputation?

KAMLOOPS — Strife and infighting have featured prominently in political headlines in the city since Kamloops Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson and eight city councillors were sworn in nearly three years ago.

Reports of fracture and disorder have made provincial and national news, and the latest such media story made its way across the province on Wednesday.

A nearly 7,000-word recap of dysfunction at Kamloops city hall since 2022 was co-published by Castanet Kamloops and The Tyee.
