Councillor laments Kamloops’ weed problem

KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops councillor says it’s time the city does something about its weed problem.
At Tuesday’s (Oct. 7) meeting, Councillor Margot Middleton brought forward a notice of motion calling on staff to report on how weeds can be better managed.
Middleton says the rogue vegetation is noticeably out of control this year.
“Given the emails we’ve been receiving… I think any of us who travel around most corridors in our city will notice we are substantially covered in vegetation,” said Middleton. “It’s very unattractive, posing safety risks in some circumstances.”
