CUPW strike prompts council to put off AAP borrowing decisions
KAMLOOPS — The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) strike has Kamloops council pushing back its consideration of a series of borrowing measures.
Council was slated to vote on four new alternative approval processes (AAP) at its regular meeting Tuesday (Oct. 7).
The AAPs are meant to gain public assent to borrow $190 million — the majority to fund the construction of a new RCMP headquarters.
