Finnie cracks Red Wings’ roster, talks potential for NHL debut

Former Kamloops Blazers’ captain Emmitt Finnie learned on Monday [Oct. 6] he has cracked the Detroit Red Wings’ 23-man roster to start the NHL season.

Finnie had 37 goals and 84 points in 55 games for the Blazers in the 2024-2025 season.

The 20-year-old forward had an impressive training camp and pre-season with the Red Wings to push his way onto the NHL club’s roster.

CFJC Today spoke to Finnie on Monday afternoon.
