Vehicle fire impacts northbound traffic on Coquihalla near Great Bear Snowshed

COQUIHALLA HIGHWAY — A vehicle fire in the northbound lanes of the Coquihalla is causing some traffic issues north of the Great Bear Snowshed.

While its not clear what exactly happened, DriveBC says the incident has the right lane blocked. DriveBC confirmed the incident in a statement just after 9:15 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 5) morning, though its not clear when the situation is expected to clear.

Photos and videos shared on social media show what appeared to be a white minivan on fire on the highway.
