BrewLoops brings dozens of BC craft beverage makers to McArthur Island Park
KAMLOOPS — The 10th edition of BrewLoops will take over the west end of McArthur Island this weekend. Volunteers were busy Friday afternoon (Oct. 3) getting stages set and booths ready for the weekend. The festival has been running for 10 years and organizers say they plan to feature a blend of drinks, food, art and music from around the province.
“We’ve got a ferris wheel, we’ve got 35 different beverage vendors, I think 25 different market vendors, two different stages, seven bands, seven DJs across the whole weekend,” explained organizer Tyson Andrykew, “so it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Craft beer is still one of the main features of BrewLoops but, in recent years, the festival has expanded to include craft cider, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks. The non-profit event has also raised more than $75,000 for local charities.
