CHASE, B.C. — An unusually damaged vehicle was seen driving through a North Shuswap community last month.

On the morning of Sept. 17, Chase RCMP say officers carrying out routine patrols along Squilax-Anglemont Road in Scotch Creek saw a Mercedes with a large hole on the driver side of the smashed front windshield, a completely shattered rear window and a front passenger-side tire being driven on the rim.

In a news release issued Tuesday (Sept. 30), Chase RCMP say the man was found to be driving the damaged vehicle without a valid driver’s license. He was issued a ticket, and the vehicle was towed.

Police say the cause of the damage to the vehicle is unclear.
