Kamloops PhD candidate wins big on Jeopardy!

KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops man is the latest Jeopardy! champion.

Appearing in his first episode of the long-running trivia show Tuesday (Sept. 30), Curtis Bogetti wagered just enough on the Final Jeopardy clue to defeat his closest opponent by one dollar.

Bogetti, a PhD candidate, found both Daily Doubles during Double Jeopardy and answered them both correctly to take a big lead into the final clue.

His winning total was $30,001.

Bogetti will return to defend his title Wednesday.
