Welcome to Hope and Healing – our special program for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This occasion is an opportunity for all of us to reflect on Canada’s history. It gives us space to look back at how contact and colonialism changed everything for Indigenous people on this land and calls us to help repair a fractured relationship. During this half-hour, we’ll see some of the different ways people in and around Secwepemcúl’ecw are approaching reconciliation and witness the healing that gives us hope for the future.
