BLUE RIVER, B.C. — Drivers are told to expect some delays on a stretch of Highway 5 through the North Thompson over the next month.

DriveBC says planned construction work on Highway 5 between Thunder River Road and Miledge Creek Bridge, nearly 12 to 17 kilometres north of Blue River, will start Monday (Sept. 29).

During weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., drivers are asked to watch for traffic control personnel as single-lane-alternating traffic will be required for brief times during mobilization and demobilization of equipment and materials.

Construction is expected to end Saturday, Nov. 7, at 5:00 p.m.
