Overnight closure planned for northbound lanes of Highway 5 between Hope and Merritt

KAMLOOPS — Residents planning on traveling to the Southern Interior from the Lower Mainland overnight are being asked to plan ahead.

DriveBC says the northbound lanes of the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt will be closed from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 27) due to planned construction work.

Alternate routes remain available via Highway 1, 3 and 5A. DriveBC reminds commercial vehicles that they’re not allowed on Highway 8 between Merritt and Spences Bridge.
