KAMLOOPS — RCMP stormed an area on River Street near the Kamloops Yacht Club Thursday morning (Sept. 25) for a weapons call.

Detachment spokesperson Cpl. Dana Napier says RCMP received a report of a man displaying a knife at about 10:00 a.m.

Multiple police units rushed to the area, including Police Dog Services, eventually finding a man matching the suspect’s description under the nearby rail bridge.

Napier says the man was arrested and no one was injured in the incident.
