Drug trafficking investigation leads to notable seizure in Williams Lake
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Police carried out a notable drug seizure in Williams Lake last week.
According to Williams Lake RCMP, the Cariboo-Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant at a home in the city of Friday (Sept. 19) and seized suspected cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with an imitation Glock pistol and more than $11,000 in cash.
The seizure stems from an investigation that began on Thursday (Sept. 18). In a news release issued Monday (Sept. 22), RCMP say a man who police know to be actively involved in illicit drug was arrested. Police say the man was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with bear spray, more than $4,200 in cash and other items seen in drug trafficking.
RCMP say the man was released without process pending further investigation.
