SOUND OFF: Standing up for B.C. means building a stronger economy — for all of us
BRITISH COLUMBIA IS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES in the world to live. We have everything we need to turn today’s big challenges into tomorrow’s opportunities — including the resources the world needs, the ports to deliver them to new markets and the incredible people to make it all happen.
At the same time, we’re facing major global headwinds. Donald Trump’s unprovoked trade war is starting to hit us hard. Many families and businesses are already feeling it. Some want us to respond by folding to Trump. They would drag us back to a darker, meaner version of the past with cuts that hurt you and policies that kill jobs.
That’s not the B.C. I believe in.
Our government is fighting for people. Together with British Columbians of different backgrounds and perspectives, we’re growing an economy that can stand on its own two feet. An economy that’s less reliant on the United States and works better for everyone, not just some.
