KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers are welcoming two of their offensive leaders back to the team.

2007-born forwards Tommy Lafreniere and Nathan Behm have been reassigned to the Blazers from their respective NHL clubs.

Lafreniere, selected by Edmonton in the third round of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, participated in Oilers camp before being sent back to Kamloops on Monday (Sept. 22).

Behm, picked by Chicago in the same round as Lafreniere, was returned to the Blazers from Blackhawks camp on Wednesday.

The Calgary-born Behm finished second on the Blazers in scoring in 2024-25 with 31 goals and 66 points. Lafreniere, from Hornby Island, was fourth on the team with 56 points.

The Blazers have not yet announced whether the two will be in the lineup when the team hosts the Seattle Thunderbirds for two games this weekend, Friday and Saturday at Sandman Centre.

The lone remaining Blazer at NHL camp is 2006-born defenceman Harrison Brunicke with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
