Swift Current Broncos’ bus crash survivor Wilkie hopes documentary brings healing

KAMLOOPS — Bob Wilkie was on the Swift Current Broncos’ bus that crashed in December of 1986 while en route to Regina.

Four of his teammates were killed in the tragic accident that rocked the country.

Wilkie is president of I Got Mind, which provides education and awareness to improve mental wellness in sports and in life.

He features in a recently-released documentary — Sideways — that tells the Broncos’ story and offers hope to those suffering in the aftermath of trauma.
