FOREST GROVE, B.C. — The sister of a woman who went missing in Forest Grove last February is pleading for help bringing her sister home.

Jennifer Provencal, 51, was last seen on February 5. She was reported missing more than two months later, on April 21.

RCMP say they believe Jennifer’s disappearance is suspicious and may be the result of foul play. The North District Major Crime Unit (NDMCU) has taken over the investigation.

In a video posted alongside an RCMP news release, Jennifer’s sister Johanne Provencal says she believes Jennifer is dead.

“Now I’m thinking about finding her remains,” said Johanne. “I’m asking for help to that so the people who loved her can honour her life, celebrate her life and we can begin a natural grieving process.”

Investigators believe someone has important information that could lead to the discovery of Jennifer’s body. Johanne says recovering her body would help bring some measure of closure to the family.

“Please, lead us to her remains. That’s all I’m asking so that we can bury her with love, we can come together and share the beautiful memories we have of who she was and the people who she touched in her life,” said Johanne.

““Our investigators continue to explore all avenues in our search for Jennifer,” added Cpl. David Bandurak of NDMCU. “While her disappearance is suspicious, we have not given up hope in locating her and finding answers for her loved ones,” said Cpl. David Bandurak with NDMCU. “If you have information that could help, even if it seems minor, please contact police.”

“I just want one more day with my sister — even if that means with my sister’s remains and bringing together the people who loved her,” added Johanne. “Just one more day — a dignified last day that’s filled with love.”

Anyone with information on Jennifer Provencal’s location is asked to call 100 Mile House RCMP at (250) 395-2456 and refer to file number 2025-1254.
