Timeraiser fundraising event returns to Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Those willing to lend a helping hand to local non-profits could land some artwork in the 12th annual Timeraiser event.

Presented by Volunteer Kamloops, participants can bid on artwork but not with money, but time.

“Winning bidders, have one year to complete their volunteer commitment with any agency present at the Timeraiser event – and then they can take the artwork home. All attendees are encouraged to volunteer in the community, and this event is meant to be a relaxed way to learn about the opportunities in Kamloops,” reads the release.

Over the past 10 years the event has raised more than 10,000 volunteer hours, while also investing in local artists.

“I know this event makes a significant impact on non-profit’s ability to recruit volunteers to their organization and at the same time, nourishes arts and culture in our community. Timeraiser is one of the staple events of Kamloops that lends to a sense of belonging,” said Terri Hadwin, Chair of the Timeraiser committee.
