Blazers trade F Sullivan to Tigers, acquire F Cooper from ‘Tips

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers have made a pair of player moves Tuesday (Sept. 16) as the team finalizes its roster for the 2025-26 Western Hockey League season.

First, the team traded 2006-born forward Max Sullivan to the Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for a conditional 8th round pick in the 2029 WHL Prospects Draft.

Sullivan played 106 games with the Blazers over three seasons, tallying 10 goals and 18 assists for 28 points.

The Blazers released Sullivan from training camp last week.

Later in the day, the team acquired 2008-born forward Owen Cooper from the Everett Silvertips, dealing Everett a 7th round selection in the 2028 WHL Prospects Draft.

Cooper, from Calgary, had six points in 44 games with the Silvertips as a 16-year-old last season.

The team launches its regular season Saturday (Sept. 20) at home against the Spokane Chiefs.
