Blazers place F Szabo on waivers to round out overage group

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers on Tuesday (Sept. 16) placed 20-year-old forward John Szabo on waivers.

WHL clubs can carry a maximum of three overage forwards.

Szabo was acquired from the Edmonton Oil Kings early in the 2024-25 season. He totalled 19 points in 59 games for the Blazers. To date, he has played 199 games in the WHL, racking up 48 points.

The Blazers’ group of 20-year-old players includes forward Jordan Keller and defencemen Ryan Michael and Rhett Ravndahl.
