Man dies after being struck by a vehicle in Salmon Arm overnight
SALMON ARM, B.C. — One man is dead after a collision on the Trans Canada Highway in Salmon Arm overnight.
At around 12:10 a.m. Monday (Sept. 15), Salmon Arm RCMP say a man was struck by an eastbound vehicle on Highway 1 just east of 10th Avenue SW.
In a news release issued Monday, RCMP say they were told by BC Ambulance that the man, who is not believed to be a Salmon Arm local, succumbed to his injuries on scene.
Police say the driver of the eastbound vehicle remained on scene and has been cooperative with the investigation. Driver impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the collision.
