KAMLOOPS — It’s heartbreak for the TRU WolfPack men’s soccer team who were seconds away from their first win of the Canada West season.

Instead, the WolfPack had to settle for their first point of the season as they drew the Lethbridge Pronghorns 1-1 in a Friday (Sept. 12) night clash at Hillside Stadium.

Marcus D’Andrea scored his first-ever Canada West goal as the WolfPack took the lead in the first minute of the second half. The WolfPack were resolute in defence but they were unable to keep Lethbridge from equalizing with a last gasp goal.

Kai Sakaguchi headed in the equalizer off a corner in the dying seconds of the game to pull the visitors level on the night. The result means TRU is now 0-6-1 on the season, while Lethbridge is 1-1-3.
