Edmonstone makes 23 saves as Blazers shutout Cougars in penultimate preseason game
KAMLOOPS — Logan Edmonstone stopped all 23 shots he faced as the Kamloops Blazers shutout the Prince George Cougars Friday (Sept. 12) night at the Sandman Centre.
Jordan Keller, Conner Radke and JP Hurlbert scored for the Blazers who came away with a 3-0 win in their penultimate preseason game. The Blazers did not allow a goal in their two preseason games at home as they also shutout the Kelowna Rockets last Friday.
Keller opened the scoring for the Blazers with a shot from the corner in the opening minute of the first period. Radke then doubled the lead midway through the period before Hurlbert scored his third of the preseason in the second period.
The Cougars’ Alexander Levshyn turned aside 33 of 36 shots he faced to pick up the loss.
