Four arrested after ‘targeted’ shooting in North Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — Police in Kamloops say four people were taken into custody after a targeted shooting on the North Shore early Thursday (Sept. 11) morning.
In an update, police say multiple RCMP officers were called to the 100-block of Chestnut Avenue around midnight after shots were heard. They say one person was injured in the shooting but that person has already been released from the hospital.
“Evidence shows that this was a targeted shooting. As with all shootings we are taking this seriously. Officers responded quickly and took four people into custody,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dana Napier said, in a statement.
