Blazers sign 2009-born California goalie Kaeden Tate

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers have gone to the U.S. Prospects Draft well for the third time ahead of the 2025-26 Western Hockey League (WHL) season.

The Blazers announced they’ve signed 2009-born goaltender Kaeden Tate to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. The Huntington Beach, California native was selected by the Blazers 23rd overall in the second round of the 2024 U.S. Prospects Draft.

Tate stands 6’3” and weighs 165 lbs. He posted a 0.927 save percentage and 1.65 goals against average in 32 AAA games and with the Anaheim Jr. Ducks 15U team in the 2024-25 season. He also posted a 0.896 save percentage and 2.33 goals against average in eight Tier 1 Elite Hockey League games for the Jr. Ducks last season.

Tate attended the 2025 Blazers training camp and will play with the 16U Jr. Ducks for the 2025-2026 season.
