Hickey adds to Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club’s medal haul at nationals

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club is racking up medals at the Canoe Kayak Canada Sprint National Championships in Regina.
Damian Hickey earned bronze in the under-18 men’s one-person kayak (K1) 1,000-metre on Wednesday. Also on Wednesday, Corben Hickey reached the U18 men’s C1 1,000m final and placed ninth.
Harris Hunter won a pair of medals on Tuesday, earning gold in the men’s U18 K1 200m and bronze in the men’s U18 K1 500m.
