Firefighters battle multiple spot fires along Trans-Canada Highway in Dallas
KAMLOOPS — Firefighters in Kamloops appear to have made quick work of a series of small fires in the Dallas area Saturday (Aug. 16) afternoon.
Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) crews were paged around 4:45 p.m. and tasked with responding to fires along the Trans-Canada Highway between the Dallas Petro Canada and the BC Wildfire Park.
Pictures shared to social media showed some white smoke rising from the fires which were burning on the shoulder of the highway. While some charred grass could be seen in pictures shared online, there were no large flames visible.
