Kamloops building sector grows by $80M during busy July
KAMLOOPS — A busy month of July helped the Kamloops building sector get on track to matching its production in 2024.
New numbers released by the City of Kamloops Building Inspection Division show nearly $80.3 million was recorded over 91 permits in July 2025, nearly triple the value of $30.9 million recorded over 84 permits during the same month in 2024.
Notable permits include three multi-family – three or more units – permits bringing in $52.5 million, 12 commercial permits worth $12.6 million and five institutional permits worth $12.9 million.
Year-to-date, nearly $212 million over 606 permits has been recorded as of July 2025, down from $221.1 million over 554 permits as of the same month in 2024.
