UPDATE: Three people taken to hospital after two-vehicle crash on Highway 1 near Chase
CHASE, B.C. — (UPDATE 6:05 p.m.): RCMP say three people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash on the Trans-Canada Highway near Chase.
“Two of the people transported to hospital sustained life threatening injuries, however I do not have an update on their status,” RCMP Sgt. Vanessa Munn told CFJC Today, in an email.
Police say they were told about the crash near the Squilax Bridge at 10:46 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 10) morning, though they did not release any details about the nature of the crash.
Reports on social media suggest it may have been a head-on crash.
