Coburn Street intersection in Chase to permanently close on August 11
CHASE, B.C. — The Village of Chase says the intersection of Highway 1 and Coburn Street will be permanently closed to all public traffic starting Monday (Aug. 11).
In a statement, village officials say the Coburn Road intersection will be gated and available for emergency vehicles only.
“Local access to the Village of Chase will be maintained via Shuswap Avenue East and Shuswap Avenue West, and the future Brooke Drive Interchange which will open in Fall 2025,” the Village of Chase said.
That new Brooke Drive Interchange will be located about 850 metres away from Coburn Street. The Village says it will improve safety for road users, pedestrians and cyclists in Chase.
