Police renew call for information into death of Deka Lake man nine years later
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — Nine years later, police are renewing their plea to the public for information into the suspicious death of a 72-year-old man east of 100 Mile House.
Gary Edwards was found dead in his home in the 7600-Block of Julsrud Road in Deka Lake after police were called to carry out a wellbeing check on Friday, July 29, 2016.
In a news release, the BC RCMP North District Major Crimes Unit stated the Edwards family has offered a financial reward for any information into the 72-year-old’s death. The investigation is ongoing.
“The investigators continue to follow up on any and all leads that are provided,” RCMP stated. “Someone has the information that will bring this investigation to a successful conclusion, and we are looking for that person to come forward. Every piece of information is important and may be the key to solving this.”
