NorthPaws fall to NightOwls in final road series of 2025 West Coast League season

VICTORIA, B.C. — The Kamloops NorthPaws dropped two of three games to the Nanaimo NightOwls in their final road series of the 2025 West Coast League season.

The NorthPaws were beaten 6-1 in Sunday’s (Aug. 3) rubber match to fall to 9-15 in the second half of the season, and 23-28 in the overall North Division standings.

Kamloops lost the series opener 6-2 Friday night but roared back to snap a six game losing streak Saturday with a convincing 11-3 win. Kamloopsian Austin Coyle hit first home run of the season in Saturday’s win at Serauxmen Stadium.

There will be no playoffs for the NorthPaws this season as they will finish no higher than fifth in the overall North Division standings. They’re currently five games back of fourth place Wenatchee with three games left to play.

The NorthPaws will host the 19-32 Port Angeles Lefties Aug. 4 to 6 at Norbrock Stadium to close out the 2025 West Coast League regular season.

First pitch in all three games is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
