NorthPaws playoff hopes in limbo as HarbourCats sweep three-game series
VICTORIA, B.C. — The Kamloops NorthPaws playoff dreams in the West Coast League are hanging by a thread.
The NorthPaws were swept by the Victoria HarbourCats, who took game three 18-3 Thursday (July 31) night. Victoria was powered by an eight run fifth inning as they improved to 16-5 in the second half standings and 28-19 in the North Division.
Victoria took game two of the midweek series Wednesday by a score of 10-3 and game one Tuesday 9-3. Those losses have the NorthPaws sitting at 8-13 in the second half standings and 22-26 in the North Division.
Kamloops is in fifth place and they have the fifth highest win percentage in the North Division at 0.458. They’re five games back of fourth place Wenatchee who boast a 0.563 win percentage with six games left to play.
