Hamer-Jackson doesn’t believe Trawin left City of Kamloops because of mayor’s actions

KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops says former Chief Administrative Officer David Trawin is no longer employed by the city. He had been on leave from the job since March 2024. Council says the departure of the former CAO is tied directly to Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson. According to a news release, the mayor made Trawin’s employment with the city “unsustainable and untenable and negatively or adversely impacted him on both a professional and personal level.”

CFJC‘s Michael Reeve asked Hamer-Jackson about Trawin’s departure Friday (Aug. 1).
