Two dead in crash near 100 Mile House Monday
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — RCMP in 100 Mile House say two people died after a highway crash not far from that community Monday (July 28).
In a news release, RCMP say emergency responders were called to a two-vehicle collision at about 5:15 p.m. Monday on Highway 97 near the 108 Mile Ranch.
One vehicle was on its roof when police arrived. Its lone occupant was removed from the vehicle conscious but with serious injuries. They were airlifted to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops for treatment.
There were two people trapped inside the second vehicle in the crash. Police say a female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Lifesaving efforts were performed on the male driver, but he also died at the scene.
