KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Blazers defenceman Harrison Brunicke will be part of Hockey Canada’s World Junior Summer Showcase this week.

The 19-year-old Brunicke is one of 44 players – four goaltenders, 12 defencemen and 20 forwards – who were invited to the seven-day camp from July. 27 to Aug. 2 at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

It’ll feature practices, scrimmages, and a trio of exhibition games as Canada prepares for the 2026 World Juniors, which will be held in Minneapolis and St. Paul this winter.

The Canadian players will be split into two teams – Red and White – for practices and an intra-squad game on July 29. Canada will then play exhibition games against Finland July 30, Sweden on Aug. 1, and the United States on Aug. 2.
