KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire Rescue made quick work of a small-but-notable interface fire in Kenna Cartwright Park Thursday (July 24) night.

KFR Assistant Chief Colin Tomm says crews responded to the fire above Aberdeen Veterinary Hospital and Cariboo Place at around 10:00 p.m. and cleared the scene at around 11:20 p.m.

The grew to 100×100 feet and was moving northeast, but Tomm says thankfully there was little-to-no wind.

KFR says the fire is likely human-caused but it’s still under investigation.
