Proud of his Kamloops roots, Bond eager to continue rapid football ascent with B.C. Lions
KAMLOOPS — Jacob Bond was caught on camera by the B.C. Lions’ production team warming up before his CFL debut on July 13 in Edmonton, the fullback pacing down the sideline and smiling while savouring the moment.
“I was just trying to soak it all in because, I mean, first pro game in a legit stadium… that was a cool feeling,” Bond said.
Making it to the pros does not mark the fulfillment of a lifelong dream because Bond, 22, did not start playing football until Grade 12, when he joined head coach JP Lancaster and the South Kamloops Titans.
