Driver suffers minor injuries after SUV crashes into 100 Mile House department store

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — An SUV crashed into a department store in 100 Mile House late last week.
100 Mile House RCMP say they were alerted by BC Emergency Health Services at around 2:17 p.m. on July 11 regarding a single-vehicle collision where the SUV crashed into the Fields store on 200 Birch Ave.
In a news release, police say the impact caused extensive damage to the building. The driver was sent to hospital with minor injuries.
There was no indication of alcohol being involved, but RCMP say the driver was issued a motor vehicle act violation for driving without due care and control.
