KAMLOOPS — Kamloops United FC’s men’s and women’s teams each drew Unity FC of Surrey 1-1 over the weekend.

Cara Freeman opened the scoring for the women Saturday (July 12) at Hillside Stadium while Dylan Hooper scored a tying goal in stoppage time for the men.

Both the Kamloops men and women have two matches remaining in the League1 BC regular season.

The men six wins, six losses and two draws, good for 20 points in 14 matches.

The women remain at the bottom of the League1 BC standings with one win, 10 losses and three draws, good for six points in 14 matches.

For the first time in League1 BC history, there will be no postseason. The 2025 men’s and women’s champions will be the top ranked teams at the end of the regular season. Kamloops United FC can’t finish first in the men’s or women’s standings.

Kamloops United’s men’s and women’s teams will travel to the Fraser Valley Saturday, July 19 to take on Langley United.

Kamloops United play their final home matches on July 25 when they welcome TSS Rovers FC to Hillside Stadium. The women kick things off at 5:00 p.m. while the men will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story indicated there was a League1 BC postseason in 2025. It has since been revised.
