LYTTON — The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) has downgraded both their evacuation orders and alerts to all clear with regards to the Izman Creek wildfire.

The BC Wildfire Service says the Izman Creek fire near Lytton is being held at 242.8 hectares in size, thanks to the “excellent progress” of crews as well as favourable weather.

The change in status means that while the fire is still burning, it is likely to remain within its current perimeter, based on fuel and weather conditions.

With the downgrading of the orders and alerts, the TNRD currently has no active notices.

An evacuation alert issued by the Lytton First Nation for Spintlum Flats 3, Lytton 3A and Lytton 32 remain in effect for now.
