Kamloops Storm to open at home; Merritt Centennials on the road as KI releases 25/26 schedule
KAMLOOPS — The KIJHL has released the schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 campaign. Teams will play 44 games starting in September and working towards the playoffs in March.
The Kamloops Storm will open up at home on McArthur Island on Friday, September 19 when the welcome the Chase Heat. They will then return the favour, playing the villain for the Heat’s home opener the next night.
The first Coquihalla Clash will be down in Merritt on September 27 as the Storm invade the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena (NVMA) to face the Merritt Centennials. The return leg of the two-game series is set for February 7, 2026 in Kamloops.
The Centennials will begin their sophomore season in the KIJHL on the road, with games in Quesnel (Sept 19) and Williams Lake (Sept 20) on the opening weekend of the season. The NVMA will get their first taste of action on September 26, as Castlegar visits the Nicola Valley.
