Bus attempts to avoid crash with vehicle, collides with traffic pole in Surrey, B.C.
SURREY — Metro Vancouver Transit Police say there were no injuries after a TransLink Bus attempted to avoid colliding with a vehicle and instead crashed into a traffic pole in Surrey, B.C.
They say officers responded to the scene at the intersection of 132 Street and 88 Avenue around 5 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police say the investigation is still in its early stages but they have confirmed the out-of-service bus was travelling north on 132 Street when a vehicle heading west from 88 Avenue entered the intersection.
They say, in attempt to avoid a crash with the car, the bus driver steered into the traffic pole before coming to a stop in a residential yard.
