Kamloops United women draw, men lose to Evolution FC in Coquitlam

COQUITLAM, B.C. — It was a mixed day for Kamloops United (KUFC) in League1 BC action Saturday (June 28) night in Coquitlam.

The Kamloops women’s team held on for a 1-1 draw against Evolution FC to pick up just their fourth point of the season from 12 games. Grace Barrett scored the only goal for Kamloops not long after she came off the bench in the second half.

Evolution’s Noelle Sather, who opened the scoring from the spot in the first half, missed a late penalty at Percy Perry Stadium, which would would have all but guaranteed the home team the win yesterday.

Kamloops remains in the basement of the League1 BC standings, seven points behind eighth place Nanaimo with four games left to play.
