City of Kamloops to take over booking process for SD73 gyms on July 1
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops will take over the booking process for all community use gyms at Kamloops-Thompson School District facilities, starting on Canada Day (July 1) this year.
In a news release, the City of Kamloops said the change will create operational efficiencies for the two parties.
“This change is part of a recent update to the existing joint-use agreement between the City and the School District and supports shared use of space and operational efficiency for both partners,” the release said. “The City has been responsible for arranging and scheduling the booking of school fields for over a decade.”
The City said it will follow its standard facility booking process, and people looking to book a school gym can inquire about availability online here.
